EXTREEME 10.5 racers are the quickest and fastest cars in the "10.5 Family" This class includes Mid 4 second 170mph(1/8 Mile) Normally Asperated, Turbocharged,Supercharged & Nitrous Injected Vehicles! This includes all types of body styles and chassis,tube chassis cars are legal but the more "Traditional Look" 10.5 cars are encouraged! Extreeme 10.5 Will be running in the 1/8th Mile Format !
CLASS GUIDELINES:
BODY:
Vehicle can be any coupe, sedan, sports car, truck or sedan delivery. Body components may be composite or other light material.Maximum front overhang is 45",to be measured from front axle centerine to forward most part of vehicle.
DOORS:
Doors must be functional from both inside and outside of vehicle.
FIREWALL:
Firewall required and must meet NHRA Specs. Back-Half cars must have firewall in OEM produced location to recieve the weight break!
FLOOR:
Stock floor may be replaced with .024” steel or .032” aluminum. Driver side floor must be steel.It must extend from firewall to rear of driver’s seat and must be welded in place. No magnesium may be used in driver compartment.
HOOD AND FRONT END:
One-piece lift-off type front end allowed.
HEADLIGHTS AND TAILLIGHTS:
Vehicle must have functioning headlights and taillights. They must be in the factory location and must be stock in appearance. Tail light must function with brakes. Hide-away headlamp style vehicles must have some type of working headlights, at least behind headlight grill. In case of hidden headlights that completely fold away with no grills, fog lights may be used. (Tech decision will be final).
SPOILER/WING: Permitted
WINDSHIELD/WINDOWS:
Lexan may be used in place of factory glass.
CHASSIS:
Full Tube Chassis or Back half chassis allowed. Chassis certification must comply with the race track and/or sanctioning bodies required guidelines in regards to speeds and ET's obtained.Full chassis O.K. Back-Half chassis: Back half section must not extend forward past rear most portion cross member. Stock frame rails from the firewall forward must be retained with a minimum of four (4) inches forward of the front engine mounting plate. Wheelbase must be within 2" of factory to recieve weight break!
LETTERING / DECALS:
Car lettering is limited to windows, except for 1 major sponsor logo that may appear on the rear quarter panel (decal or name must be no larger than 10" x 36")
DRIVER LOCATION:
No center steer vehicles
FRONT SUSPENSION: Back-Half Vehicles:
Stock type and configuration front suspension required. All lower control arms must bolt to the K-member or cross member. No suspension component can be mounted to strut tube or lower main frame rail. After market spindles and a-arms allowed. Modifying of shock/strut towers allowed for header and engine clearance only. Must retain at least 50% of original tower. Upper strut tube may be graphed in to strut/shock tower. Spring and or shock may be relocated (tech decision final). Commercially available Bolt-on front end kits (Alston, Smith Racecraft, Heidts,Fatman,etc..) are legal. Full Chassis Vehicles: Permitted
REAR SUSPENSION:
Any rear suspension system permitted; a minimum of two (2) hydraulic-shock absorbers. No rigid mounted rear axles allowed.
GROUND CLEARANCE:
Three inch (3”) minimum for entire length of vehicle and all components (headers, oil pan,chassis). etc.
WHEELBASE:
Maximum of two inches (2”) plus or minus, from factory dimension on back-half vehicles to recieve weight break.
ENGINE:
Any engine size allowed. Limited to single engine (automotive type).An NHRA approved *Lower Oil-Retention Device* is now required on vehicles running 7.49 or quicker e.t (Check the 2010 NHRA rule book for more info!!!)
NITROUS OXIDE:
All nitrous systems are allowed. Nitrous oxide commercially available, thermostatically controlled blanket-type warmer accepted. Any other external heating of bottles prohibited. The use of any agents other than nitrous oxide as part of, or mixed with, this pressurized fuel system is prohibited. Nitrous oxide may not be used in conjunction with supercharger or turbochargers. If an entry is presented to tech as a non-nitrous weight break, all nitrous oxide lines, fittings,solenoids, and bottles must be removed before car is allowed to pass tech.
SUPERCHARGER / TURBOCHARGER:
Single or multiple supercharger or turbocharger allowed ,NO Screw Type Superchargers.Two-stage superchargers or turbo units are not allowed ,twin superchargers (MAX F-2) or turbo units (MAX 91mm) must share a common plenum .Intercoolers are allowed. Roots-type limited to single supercharger per engine. Roots-type size limited to 14-71; 19 inches maximum rotor length, 11 1/4-inch case width, rotor cavity diameter 5.840 inches maximum, Supercharger restraint systems required on Roots-type units. All air entering the turbocharger must pass through the turbocharger inlet. *** Nitrous oxide not allowed in combination with supercharger or turbochargers***
EXHAUST:
Must have functional production mufflers mounted in the exhaust flow, except turbo entries.Exhaust must be directed as to NOT EFFECT THE STAGING BEAMS !
ELECTRONICS:
No "Reaction Time Devices" such as Delay Boxes or Optical Censors Devises allowed
TRANSMISSION:
Any type transmission allowed, must have a neutral safety switch.
WHEELS AND TIRES:
Must be automotive type designed for racing. Maximum of up to 33x10.5 W/15 or 16 sidewall designation slick.
SAFETY:
We encourage an onboard fire suppression system with secondary activation switch located at rear of vehicle. One nozzle directed toward driver, two nozzles in engine compartment directed on engine.
PARACHUTE:
Recommend two with separate mounting points. Minimum shank bolt, ½”. Must have sleeve between the other and bolt in. Roll cage padding is mandatory
INTERIOR:
Dash in factory location(Stock appearing dash preferred),Composite or other lightweight material allowed. Entry must have door panels.

WCHRA REQUIRED DECALS:
CLASS SPONSOR DECAL:
Sponsor decal must be installed on base of windshield on the passenger side. (Bottom left hand side when looking at front of vehicle windshield)
EVENT SPONSOR DECAL:
Sponsor decal must be installed on base of windshield on the drivers side. (Bottom right handside when looking at front of vehicle windshield) Decals will be available during registration at the WCHRA Event Trailer
CONTINGENCY DECALS:
All contingency decals may appear anywhere on the windows in a clear and organized fashion.Contingency decals may not be overlapped or modified.
WCHRA Point System:
We will be calculating points at each event, and will crown a champion at the conclusion of the season
SCALES:
After each qualifying and elimination pass, all cars must stop and weigh at the track scales.If you lose in eliminations, and your opponent fails to make weight you will be reinstated into the eliminations only if you made minimum weight requirements. If both cars failed to make minimum weight, both cars will be disqualified. It is the driver's responsibility to verify with each track scale, the weight of his/her car prior to each race day. ****There will be a 5lb error factor allowed****
TOW BACK & TOW VEHICLES:
All Extreeme 10.5 entries are allowed to tow to staging lanes, after track scales and down return road with a tow vehicle. All tow vehicles will be subject to search by a WCHRA Official at any time.
BYE-RUNS:
Vehicles must take the tree, and run down the 1/4 mile. ****Unless told otherwise by Race Director****
All drivers and vehicles must meet current NHRA and track requirements
