Class Description:
The PRO-STREET class consists of Door Cars, both back-halved and full tube chassis. All entries must be capable of running 7.50 1/4 mile or quicker ET. PRO cars are
and can be Turbocharged, Supercharged, Nitrous Injected and Big C.I. Full Bodied "Doorslammers" capable of running 6 seconds at over 220mph!!!.
Class Guidelines:
Ballast:
Permanently attached ballast may be added in a NHRA legal manner. Removable ballast for the purpose of classification adjustments is limited to 100 lbs. in a NHRA weight box.
Body:
Steel, aluminum, fiberglass and carbon fiber bodies and body parts are allowed as long as the car retains it's original appearance and profile (weight add for “Non-Traditional” body styles). The drivers and passenger doors must be fully operational and must open from the outside. Rear wings are allowed, but may not extend more than 28 inches from the transition point with the body to the tip. The WCHRA reserves the right to add weight penalties for any body modifications that do not meet the current rule guidelines.
Maximum allowed Front overhang is 45" Max measured from Front axle centerline
to forward most part of vehicle.
Lettering/Decals:
Decals may be a permanent fixture on body, per approval from a WCHRA Official.
Firewall:
Moving stock firewall rearward for engine installation permitted. Each car must be equipped with a minimum of .024-inch steel or .032-inch aluminum firewall, extending from side to side of the body and from the top of the engine compartments upper seal (hood, cowl, or deck) to the bottom of the floor and / or belly pan.
Seat Location:
No center steer vehicles
Windows:
Must be of safety glass (Plexi-glass, Lexan) or other shatter-proof materials, minimum of 1/8th inch thick.
Racing Aids:
The use of "Reaction Time Devices" are not allowed.
Brakes:
Four wheel brakes required.
Chassis/Suspension:
Any chassis and suspension combination that passes NHRA safety standards
for the weight of vehicle in relationship to E.T. and speed attained, is allowed.
Drive Train:
Any rear-end, gear ratio and transmission are allowed.
Ignition:
Entries may utilize only 1 Distributor or 1 Magneto.
Engine Block:
*No restrictions* An NHRA approved *Lower Oil-Retention Device* is now required on vehicles running 7.49 or quicker E.T.
Engine Mount Location:
The maximum allowable engine setback can not be greater than 10% of the wheelbase as measured from centerline of front spindle to center of furthest forward spark plug hole.
Heads:
Any cylinder head is allowed as long as only 1 spark plug per cylinder is functional.
Exhaust:
Mufflers are not required. Headers must have 4/1 single outlet collector and collector must be at least four inches in length. Zoomies O.K. on Supercharged combos.
Fuel/Fuel Systems:
Gasoline & Alcohol only (Nitro permitted in Injected Nitro Entries ONLY!!) The WCHRA reserves the right to check gasoline at any time during competition.
Failure to pass fuel check is grounds for disqualification from the event.
Power Adders:
Nitrous Oxide:
All nitrous systems are allowed. Nitrous oxide commercially available, thermostatically controlled blanket-type warmer accepted. Any other external heating of bottles prohibited. The use of any agents other than nitrous oxide as
part of, or mixed with, this pressurized fuel system is prohibited. If an entry is presented to tech as a non-nitrous weight break, all nitrous oxide lines, fittings, solenoids, and bottles must be removed before car is allowed to pass tech.
*Nitro NOT PERMITTED in conjuction with N20,Turbos or Superchargers*
Supercharger/Turbocharger:
Single Roots Type or Single/Twin Supercharger/Turbocharger allowed.
Screw Superchargers allowed. Two-stage superchargers or turbo units are not allowed! Twin superchargers (F-2R MAX or Equivalent) turbochargers(91mm MAX) must share a common plenum. Intercoolers are allowed. Roots-type limited to single supercharger per engine. Roots-type size limited to 14-71; 19 inches maximum rotor length, 11 1/4-inch case width, rotor cavity diameter 5.840 inches maximum, variable multi-speed supercharger devices prohibited. Supercharger restraint systems required on Roots-type units.Turbochargers are limited to a maximum of 2 Turbos(91mm Max), All air entering the turbocharger must pass through the turbocharger inlet. Injection of any liquid, gas or any other substance into the inlet or exhaust housing prohibited.

Parachute:
Required on all entries.
Street Legal Requirements:
Driving lights and Brake lights, are requested but not required to function. Must have at least ONE functional taillight!
Tires:
Front tires must have a minimum tread width of 4.5 inches. Front tires do not have to be DOT approved. Rear tires have no limitations.

Class Sponsor Decal:
Sponsor decal must be installed on base of windshield on the passenger side. (Bottom left hand side when looking at front of vehicle windshield)
Event Sponsor Decal:
Sponsor decal must be installed on base of windshield on the drivers side.
(Bottom right hand side when looking at front of vehicle windshield)
Decals will be available during registration at the WCHRA Event Trailer
Contingency Decals:
All contingency decals may appear anywhere on the windows in a clear and
organized fashion.Contingency decals may not be overlapped or modified.
WCHRA Point System:
We will be calculating points at each event, and will crown a champion at the conclusion of the season.
Scales:
After each qualifying and elimination pass, all cars must stop and weigh at the
track scales. If you lose in eliminations, and your opponent fails to make weight
you may be reinstated into the eliminations only if you’ve made minimum weight requirements. If both cars failed to make minimum weight, both cars will be disqualified. It is the driver's responsibility to verify with each track scale, the weight of his/her car prior to each race day. There will 5lb error factor allowed.
Tow Back & Tow Vehicles:
All Pro Street entries are allowed to tow to staging lanes, track scales and down return road with a tow vehicle. All tow vehicles will be subject to search by a
WCHRA Official at any time.
Bye-Runs:
All vehicles must take the tree, and run down the 1/4 mile.
