************************************************************************************************** CLASS DESCRIPTION:
TRUE 10.5 is a heads-up class,run in the 1/8th Mile, reserved for stock suspension/back-halved passenger cars and trucks.You will see many different engine combinations in this exciting heads-up class,including Nitrous,Turbos,Superchargers and even Normally Asperated combo thrown in!.
A maximum 30X10.5 (non-W) slick or 315/325 Drag Radial tires are allowed in
True 10.5.
CLASS GUIDELINES:
BALLAST:
Permanently attached ballast may be added in a NHRA legal manner. Removable ballast for the purpose of classification adjustments is limited to 100 lbs. in a
NHRA weight box.
BODY:
The car must retain its original appearance and profiles. Aftermarket fiberglass replacement panels are limited to; hood, hood scoop, fenders, deck lids, doors and bumpers. One piece front-ends are allowed(Hood must be removable) and must retain factory grill, head lights, and marker lights (No fake or airbrushed grilles allowed). Aftermarket wings and spoilers are permitted(No Pro-Mod Style wings Allowed!!).The driver and passenger doors must open from the inside & outside.
Maximum allowed Front overhang is 45" Max measured from Front axle centerline
to forward most part of vehicle.
FIREWALL:
Vehicles must retain factory firewall location,you may add a cosmetic overlay over the unaltered factory firewall. Minor notching for clearance and removable trans tunnel acceptable.If your firewall and/or engine have been moved back beyond the original firewall location(No extreme engine set-backs) you may run with a weight penalty.

HOOD / SCOOPS:
Cowl & forward facing hood scoops are allowed. Scoop or cowl heights must
be kept within reason!

INTERIOR:
Dash and steering columns must be in stock locations. Aftermarket or
street-rod columns are permitted. Door panels must be covered or painted.
No extreeme Pedal set-back! . A full stock appearing dashboard with instruments (aftermarket instruments are allowed).Interior must be finished
and clean in appearance (carpet, paint, powder-coat, tin etc.)

SEAT LOCATION:
Front bucket seats(2 prefered),or full bench seat with upholstery is required.
WHEEL TUBS:
Aftermarket wheel tubs are permitted. Grossly oversized tubs are not permitted.
WINDOWS:
Must be factory safety glass, Stock Appearing Lexan or Plexi-glass. Driver and passenger doors must be fully operational.(Must open from inside and outside)
BRACKET RACING AIDS:
The use of "Reaction Time Devices" such as optical sensors, delay boxes,etc...
are prohibited.
BRAKES:
Brakes are required on all four wheels. No other restrictions.
CHASSIS / SUSPENSION:
FRONT SUSPENSION:
All cars must retain stock suspension, aftermarket tubular control arms, coil over kits, or OEM front strut retrofits are permitted. But must be a direct bolt on, no welding modifications permitted. Stock wheelbase will be enforced on all vehicles.
All sub framed or full framed cars must retain complete stock front subframe from firewall forward,except for the following exceptions,The 62-67 Chevy II's and 64 1/2-68 Mustangs and similar cars with bolt-on front clips, must retain stock or aftermarket bolt-on front subframe. The subframe must be a bolt on (not welded, unless kit is approved by WCHRA officials) to factory mounting location. Frame connectors or rear frame rails may pass firewall location.
All late model Mustangs/F-bodies must retain factory front subframe from firewall forward. Stock or direct fit aftermarket K-members are permitted, but must be bolted in factory location using factory bolt holes. Cross members on all front sub frames may be altered or removed for oil pan clearance.

DRIVE TRAIN:
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:
Automatic transmissions originally produced by any American automobile manufacturer are permitted. Transmission-to-engine adapters are allowed. Aftermarket torque converter, shift kit, valve body, trans-brake, pan cooler
and shifters are permitted.
MANUAL TRANSMISSION:
Aftermarket clutch assisted manual transmissions are legal, All shifts must be
made manually without the aid of electric, hydraulic or pneumatic devices.
Liberty,G-Force,Jerico,etc... O.K.
( Lenco/Jeff-co type planetary transmissions prohibited)Any manual transmission built by an automotive manufacturer with stock case and gears will race at same weight as an automatic transmission entry.
REAREND:
Any rear end is allowed.
ELECTRICAL:
The charging system is optional and is not required.
ENGINE:
Any production-based engine may be used, crossbreeding of an engine to a
different make of body is acceptable.There are no restrictions on internal
engine modifications.
BLOCK:
Aftermarket, cast-iron or aluminum blocks are permitted
ENGINE MOUNTLOCATION:
Engine must be in stock location. Solid engine mounts and motor plates are permitted.If crossbreeding an engine, valve covers may not touch original
factory firewall.
*If set-back further than stock firewall location entry will recieve a *50lb. penalty*
NO EXTREME ENGINE SET-BACK !

HEADS:
Two valves per cylinder maximum(Unless OEM Production Head).

INTAKE MANIFOLD:
Any manifold allowed
EXHAUST:
Mufflers or Collector mufflers are required. Modification or removal of muffler internals is prohibited (no gutting).
FUEL / FUEL SYSTEMS:
Gasoline or Alcohol only(NO NITRO). The WCHRA reserves the right to check
gasoline at any time during competition. Failure to pass fuel check is grounds for disallowance of the run during competition and disqualification from the event during eliminations.
IGNITION:
Aftermarket battery operated ignitions, multiple-step rev limiters, electronic conversion kits, and external amplifier boxes allowed.
INDUCTION:
NITROUS OXIDE:
All nitrous systems are allowed. Nitrous oxide commercially available, thermostatically controlled blanket-type warmer accepted. Any other external heating of bottles prohibited. The use of any agents other than nitrous oxide as
part of, or mixed with, this pressurized fuel system is prohibited. If an entry is presented to tech as a non-nitrous weight break, all nitrous oxide lines, fittings, solenoids and bottles must be removed before car is allowed to pass tech.
TURBOCHARGER/SUPERCHARGER:
**Screw Superchargers are not allowed**

ANY Single or Twin Centrifugal Superchargers Permitted.
ANY Single or Twin Turbochargers Permitted
All air entering the Turbocharger/Supercharger must pass through the Turbocharger/Supercharger inlet.

Any oil pan is allowed,Dry-Sumps O.K., Vacuum pumps are acceptable.
ON BOARD DIAGNOSTICS / DATA RECORDERS:
On board diagnostic computers and recorders are permitted.
Memory and playback tachometers are allowed.
PARACHUTE:
Required, must meet NHRA safety guidelines.
RADIATORS:
Functional cooling system required.
STEERING:
Rack and pinion allowed on all vehicles.
STREET LEGAL REQUIREMENTS:
All entries are required to have working headlights,tail light (Headlight doors must be fixed open or work manually or automatically on cars so equipped) and Brake lights.
TIRES:
Any slick up to a 30 x 10.5" sidewall designation("W" tires are not allowed) or 315/325 Drag Radial are permitted.
** Hoosier tire part number 18192D05 will not be allowed.**
WHEEL BASE:
Must retain stock wheelbase with a maximum variation of one inch.

CLASS SPONSOR DECAL:
Sponsor decal must be installed on base of windshield on the passenger side.

Decals will be available during registration at the WCHRA Event Trailer
CONTINGENCY DECALS:
All contingency decals may appear anywhere on the windows in a clear and organized fashion. Contingency decals may not be overlapped or modified. Most decals are available at the WCHRA Event Trailer, but in the event the WCHRA does not have the decals in stock, it is the racer's responsibility to obtain the proper decals to be eligible for the Contingency payout.
WCHRA Point System:
We will be calculating points at each event, and will crown a champion at the conclusion of the season
RACE DAY POLICIES:
SCALES:
After each qualifying and elimination pass, all cars must stop and weigh at the track scales. If you lose in eliminations, and your opponent fails to make weight you will be reinstated into the eliminations only if you made minimum weight requirements. If both cars failed to make minimum weight, both cars will be disqualified. It is the driver's responsibility to verify with each track scale, the weight of his/her car prior to each race day. There will 5lb error factor allowed.
TOW BACK & TOW VEHICLES:
All True 10.5 entries are allowed to tow to staging lanes, after track scales and down return road with a tow vehicle. All tow vehicles will be subject to search by a WCHRA Official at any time.
BYE-RUNS:
Vehicles must take the tree, and run down the 1/8 mile.
