With the rain in the forecast for Saturday i`m sure there are alot of people wondering what the plan is,we will race this weekend !! We will be there Saturday and Sunday,hopefully we can get a qualifier in on Saturday,if not we will do it all Sunday!.I know this wasnt what any of us were expecting,but,the weather for Sunday is looking great and we will finish off the `08 season with a great day of racing ! ;)

Harry Khodanian at HK MOTORSPORT has offered the services of a full service chassis dyno to all the WCHRA racers.He will be offering Transferrable cash certificates to all the classes in the WCHRA!.Harry has approached this a little differently than most,he is posting a certificate valued at $300,towards a FULL DAY of DYNO-TUNING to the RUNNER-UP in all the heads-up classes!.This includes: Pro - Outlaw 10.5 - True 10.5 - Drag Radial - Pro Stock - Mod. Prod. - A,B,C,D/Gas.

The reasoning behind this approach is to give the R/U of the class the oppurtunity to use the chassis dyno,and it`s capabilities, to help them get to the WINNERS CIRCLE !.This certificate may be used on any vehicle of your choice as long as it can fit on the dyno :)

For the racers in the A/FX - Open Comp - .5 Full Tree classes,it will be a little different,Harry has decided to spread things out a little more in these classes,there will be a certificate valued at $100 certificate towards a FULL DAY DYNO TUNE given to the Winner,R/U & Semi-finalist`s in these classes !.

Sacramento WCHRA Race

Hey for all the Pro Street guys i would like to put out an invitation for you all to come to our West Coast Outlaw Pro Mod race at Sacramento Raceway September 19 & 20. For those who havent raced at the track this is the best year that i have ever seen the track and the Governors Cup event is the biggest & best event for the track. Come out and race with us, go a couple rounds and get testing data for your race a couple weeks after in October. The track is good, 2 of our racers have gone mid-high 6.20's and Randy Kay has gone 236 + mph.

Also, outlaw 10.5 guys can come run with us or the West Coast Top Sportsman Assoc. Their class is a 7.95 slowest dial index class with the fastest cars running 7.20's...

I have recieved many e-mails and phone calls about the class,I dont have any plans to do away with the class,I would like to hear from you guys that are building cars or plan on it in the future.Lets hear from you guys,post up what your building OR would like to build!,I know for a fact that Taro doesnt have any plans on "Giving up" on his goal of beating that red falcon!!!. I dont know what Glen & Mr.Hickok have planned for the future,will they stick around in M/P or will they step-up to the new limited 10.5 class?,maybe they can chime in !

I will tell you, I am trying to come up with a way to keep the "Pro Stock" cars in the WCHRA,UNLIKE Mod Production,which is a totally new class on the west coast,there are plenty of these cars out there(Hot Street/Pro Stock).I have had a few racers come out and join us,and I really appreciate that!,for whatever reason the majority of racers in this class have chosen not to come and it doesnt matter the reason,it is what it is.

I am looking at the possibility of combining the two classes,M/P & P/S,the rules for each class would remain the same,the equalizer would be the Modified Production cars would get a 1 second "Head Start" on the tree.These are some things I keep running by different racers,I thought I would post them up and get your thoughts,post away!

First off the ones who put on such a nice racing environment ,the Rigbys for the Two Saturday races and all the dedicated people who helped out with the event and the track personel. My lone crew member Guy Fowler, and the many others like Mike pritchard and Dan his crewguy who helped me in the staging lanes with tire pressure and launch settings while I was hot lapping to run Two classes. The Frye Snavely clan for the adoption and cheerleading on the starting line and Mark for lining me up. Now if Bobby would just listen to Mark! LOL . For Mike Young of Mikes trans for helping me fix the trans problem on Sat. morning(sorry I woke you up) and Paul from reflections for a couple of cool shots of my car(the picture is so clear you can actually see the terrified look as my eye rolled up in my head on the launch LOL) and all the new people I met this past weekend. I had a awesome time, thanks again everybody.

I just wanted to let everyone know that the AUTOSTART System will be in use this weekend in Bakersfield.For those of you not familiar with this,this basically means is,once one of the racers lights the 3rd light(Pre-Stage..Pre-Stage...STAGE would be the third light)the racer that still has only there Pre-Stage light(First stage light) lit,has 7 seconds to move in and stage,if you take too long you will automatically redlighted by the system.

Well as most of you know by now the Black 57 was sold, and will be shipped DOWN-UNDER by the end of August. We have come up with two commemorative photos for the 57 Chevy Fans. The first photo (A) is the standard photo with some Clouds enhanced. The second photo (B) has more enhancements like clouds, bluring, and a black vignette. Each photo was shot at Firebird Raceway in 07. At the bottom of each photo there is the title (THE BLACK INTIMIDATOR) below that is Ed's name, below that is all the names of the crew, and below that is all the years that the car held PSCA Championships.
